This guide covers all of the features included with AdaptiBar's MBE Simulator program.
First, you will need to log in to AdaptiBar by using the e-mail address and password you used when you enrolled. If you forgot your password, click here to get a password reminder emailed to you.
DASHBOARD
On the Dashboard, you can quickly access all of the main program features as well as check your overall performance. Your overall accuracy rate and the total number of questions answered, both for today and your entire session, is displayed in the center two boxes. On the right, you will find the average accuracy rate and the total number of questions answered for all MBE Simulator users enrolled in the same program session as you.
Halfway down the page are two overall performance charts.
- Performance Over Time: This line graph shows your overall performance in all subjects month by month over the course of your current session.
- Subject Performance: This bar chart provides you with your overall performance, but broken down by subject. View how you are doing in each subject over the course of the current bar session.
SETTINGS
The Settings page allows you to customize the program to your individual preferences.
- General
- Notifications: AdaptiBar suggests you leave the notifications enabled, as messages are sent through the Message Center based on your individual performance to provide helpful guidance and preparation tips throughout your program session. If you disable notifications, you will no longer receive pop-up notifications regarding new messages. You will also no longer receive weekly performance emails. Selecting unread messages will cause the number of unread messages on the left-hand navigation bar to disappear.
- MBE Countdown on Dashboard: The MBE Countdown on the Dashboard displays how many days are left until the MBE exam within the upper left-hand box (under your name and your access dates to the program). If you would not like to view this countdown, you may disable it here.
- All User Stats on Dashboard: AdaptiBar gives you the ability to view how other users who are taking the same bar exam as you are performing. If you would like to not view these stats, you may disable them here.
- Keyboard Shortcuts: Toggle this option to enable/disable keyboard shortcuts in the program.
- Default Dates
- Default Dates for Performance Stats: Here you can choose the dates you want to view statistics for when in the Dashboard or within any subject performance or timing graph.
- Today: Selecting Today will allow you to view your overall performance for the current day.
- All Sessions: If you have used AdaptiBar for more than one bar session, you may select this to view your performance statistics for all sessions in which you studied with us.
- Session: This will display your performance statistics for the bar session in which you are currently enrolled in.
- Custom: Input a timeframe of your choice to display your performance statistics within that particular start and end date.
- Default Dates for Flashcards: Much like default dates for performance stats, you may view your flashcard progress by View All Dates or Enter Specific Start Date.
- Default Dates for Performance Stats: Here you can choose the dates you want to view statistics for when in the Dashboard or within any subject performance or timing graph.
NOTE: While we understand that Default Dates are useful in certain situations, we strongly suggest that you use these features sparingly. Changing your Default Dates will potentially cause question repeats and inaccurate performance statistics. If you do choose to use Default Dates, please be sure to revert them back to the current session.
- Timing
- Set ADA Settings: If you are given extra time to take the MBE due to ADA accommodations, you may change your allotted time per question in the Timing section of your settings. Under Set ADA Settings simply drag the bar to the desired time. The time you selected will then be reflected within Questions Mode as well as your Timing Analysis.
- Student Information:
- This section allows you to view your law school as well as your bar exam date and state. You may edit your bar exam state by selecting Edit Bar Information.
- To change your password, select Change Password. You will be prompted to enter your current password as well as a new password of your choice. Click Save to continue.
NOTE: Any changes made in Settings will be automatically saved once you navigate away from the Settings page.
Practice
The Practice tab provides you with many study options: Questions, Exams, Flashcards, Video Lectures and Assignments (if applicable).
QUESTIONS
Questions mode is what AdaptiBar MBE Simulator is most known for, as the advanced, patented adaptive technology is applied in this mode only. While answering questions, AdaptiBar realizes which areas you are performing weaker in and automatically adjusts the presentation of questions to focus on your weaknesses without neglecting an area of strength. The program is continuously assessing your real-time performance and adjusting to your current studying needs, allowing for the most effective and efficient use of your study time.
Click on the Practice tab on the dashboard, then Questions, then simply select the MBE subject(s) you would like to include. Below the subjects, the Set Preferences section contains five choices for what to show or not show while answering practice questions.
- Timer: This allows you to toggle on or off the timer based on your preference.
- Question Number & Subject: We recommend that you do not show this option. Seeing the subject while answering questions could possibly tip you off to the correct answer.
- Number of Questions Answered: Showing this will display three small counters within the Real-Time Performance box on the right side of the screen that tells you how many questions you have answered since you last logged in (Web Session), the total questions you have answered today (Today), and in total throughout the entire program session (Total).
- Instructions: Uncheck this box if you do not want to see the Instructions page each time you begin answering practice questions. These are the actual instructions that will appear on your MBE. It is very important that you read and understand them because they will influence the way you answer questions.
- Exclude MBE Complete Practice Exam: Check this box to reserve two sets of 100 licensed questions so you can take them as practice exams at a later date.
- Exclude MBE Study Aid Questions: Check this box to reserve the questions associated with NCBE's MBE Study Aid so you can take them as practice exams at a later date.
- Stop me after _ questions: Use this option to preset a number of questions you’d like to answer in that study session. After completing your set amount of questions, you will be stopped and directed to a performance report of just those questions.
The question will appear with the answer choices below it. To select an answer, simply click the letter within the rectangle to the left of the answer. When you are ready to submit the answer, click the Answer button at the bottom of the screen.
If you do not want to answer that question, click the Pass button. This will move you to the next selected question without recording an answer for the one you just saw. Excessively passing on questions will adversely affect your studying because you do not have the luxury of passing on the actual MBE.
Clicking the Pause button will take you back to the Questions home page.
When you are answering questions on paper, you may be inclined to exclude certain answers that you feel are incorrect. You would do this by somehow marking that question so that you can more easily choose between the remaining answers. In AdaptiBar, all you need to do to deselect an answer is click on the crossed-out eye to the right of a question as you hover over it. The text will appear with a line through it to indicate you have excluded that answer. Click it again to reverse the process. Even if you exclude an answer by clicking on it, you can still choose that answer as the correct one and submit it.
To the right of the question is a box with three tabs. (To hide this box, click the double arrows in the upper left-hand corner of the box. To unhide the box, click the double arrows again in the upper right-hand corner of the question box):
- Real-Time Performance: You will notice the timer running within this tab (if you chose to show the timer). When the timer exceeds the average time to answer each question (1.8 minutes), it will appear bolded to give you a subtle indication that you better pick up the pace. You will also be able to view the number of questions answered today as well as your total number of questions answered during the current bar exam session.
- Settings:
- Font Size: You are able to change the size of the text here. Click the “-“ sign to make the text smaller. Click the “+” to enlarge the text. Selecting RESET will bring the text back to its default size.
- Keyboard Shortcuts: If you have keyboard shortcuts enabled in Settings, you may use the following shortcuts while answering questions in Practice Question Mode. To select an answer choice, hit the A, B, C, or D key on your keyboard. Pressing Enter will submit your answer choice. Additionally, the -> key moves on to the next question, and the S key serves as the "Pause" button.
- Highlighting: When you are taking an exam on paper, you may want to highlight certain text in your question booklet. Click the Enable Highlight button, then position your cursor at the beginning of the text you would like to highlight, left click and hold and drag your mouse to the end of the text you wish to highlight. You can also just double click an individual word to highlight that entire word. To undo your last highlight, double click the section of text that you would like to remove highlighting from.
- Performance: This tab is left blank until you answer a question. We will get back to your question performance stats later on in the Guide!
When you answer a question, you will automatically receive feedback based on your answer. If you answered correctly, a banner will appear in green indicating so. If you are incorrect, you will be shown your letter choice in red along with the correct letter choice in green. The detailed answer explanation is then displayed below the answer at the top of the page. Carefully read the explanations so that you know exactly why your answer was correct or incorrect. Below the explanation, the original question can be expanded to view by clicking the > button. Answers will be displayed with the correct answer in green and an incorrect answer in red (if applicable).
The Performance tab in the upper right-hand corner of your screen contains three action options.
- Flag: Flagging the question allows you to refer back to it later easily within Past Questions by filtering by flagged questions.
- Video: Clicking this button will take you to the corresponding video lecture for this question’s subtopic. If you do not have this video lecture, it will give you the option to purchase it.
- Report: This button allows you to report a question to our legal experts if you feel there is an error in the content.
Below these action items is an extensive list of performance and timing statistics.
- Performance
- Your Average: Your average accuracy rate for this particular question (Ex: If you have answered this question correctly once and incorrectly a second time, your average would be 50%)
- State Average: The average accuracy of AdaptiBar users taking the bar exam in the same state as you for this particular question.
- National Average: The average accuracy of all AdaptiBar users for this particular question.
- Timing
- Your Time: This shows you the time it took for you to answer this question.
- Average Time: The average time it takes all AdaptiBar users to answer this question.
- Your Optimal Time: Your average time when you have answered this question correctly.
- Average Optimal Time: The average time for all AdaptiBar users when they have answered this question correctly.
- Student Responses: This bar graph presents you with how all AdaptiBar users have answered this question and how frequently (%) for each answer.
- History: Here you are able to see your answer history for this particular question. The program will present you with your answer choice as well as the date and time in which you answered the question.
To continue, click Next Question.
EXAMS
In Exams mode, you have the following options:
- Create a customized exam: To create a customized exam, select the subject(s) and subtopic(s) you want to include. Next, select the number of questions (1-100) you want to include in the exam, name the exam, and select if you would like to view the timer or not. Ideally, you should emulate the morning or afternoon session of the MBE by creating a 100-question exam with all seven MBE subjects included. However, if you would like to narrow in on a specific subtopic you're struggling with, you may do so with mini customized exams here.
- Take one of the 2 MBE NCBE Study Aid Exams. Does not apply to CA FYLSE Baby Bar program: 100 licensed questions each, released by the NCBE in 2017. All seven MBE subjects included, presented in random order. Subject and subtopics presented in the same proportions as they are tested on the MBE. These two exams do contain licensed Civil Procedure questions. Together, they will most closely mirror taking an actual 200 question practice MBE. PLEASE NOTE: These questions are also included in the master database, so you may also see these questions while preparing in Practice Questions mode. If you would like to exclude these questions when using Practice Questions mode, be sure to check the box Exclude MBE Complete Practice Exams.
- Take one of the 2 MBE Complete Practice Exams. Does not apply to CA FALSYE Baby Bar program: 100 licensed questions each, released by the NCBE in 2021. All seven MBE subjects included, presented in random order. Subject and subtopics presented in the same proportions as they are tested on the MBE.
- Incompleted Exams: Should you start a customized exam or NCBE OPE and are unable to complete it, the exam will be saved under Incomplete Exams within Exams mode. The chart lists all of your incomplete exams by the creation date, as well as how many total questions are included and how many questions you submitted answers for already. To delete any of these exams, simply click the trash icon to the right. PLEASE NOTE: Once you delete an incomplete exam, it's removed from your program and there is no way to retrieve it again.
Answering questions in Exams mode is very similar to Questions mode. The main difference is that you will not see the answers to the set of questions until the end of the exam. You are also able to answer questions out of order. Flag questions you want to skip by clicking the Flag icon in the upper right-hand corner of the question box.
- Real-Time Performance
- Progress: View what question you are on and how far along you are within the exam.
- Timer: Here you have the option to toggle on or off the timer.
- Scantron: Click Enter Scantron View to open an online scantron form. This is meant to help you simulate the actual bar exam by presenting you with how you will be inputting answers on the day of the bar exam.
- Questions: Here you will see a box with a number for each corresponding question within your exam. Click on any of the questions to jump straight to it. Questions you have answered will change the number from orange to gray. Questions that you bookmarked will have an orange border around the box. You can filter unanswered or bookmarked questions by clicking the respective toggle.
- Settings
- Font Size: You are able to change the size of the text here. Click the "-" sign to make the text smaller.
Additionally, the -> key moves on to the next question, <- will take you to the previous question, and the S key serves as the "Pause" button.
- Highlighting: When you are taking an exam on paper, you may want to highlight certain text in your question booklet. Click the Enable Highlight button, then position your cursor at the beginning of the text you would like to highlight, left click and hold and drag your mouse to the end of the text you wish to highlight. You can also double click an individual word to highlight that entire word. To undo your last highlight, double click the section of text that you would like to remove highlighting from.
Ending an Exam: When you have completed answering questions and are ready to submit them for grading, select Finish Exam. Your exam will be graded, and you will be provided with an overall percentage. You will also receive a list containing each question answered, whether you got it correct or incorrect, and a detailed explanation.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have not completed answering all of the questions in your exam, you will not have the option to select End Exam. If you have gotten to the end of your exam and do not see the End Exam button, please check your exam navigation panel for unanswered questions indicated by red text.
Exam Report: As soon as you complete an exam, you will be taken to your Exam Report. Here you are able to view your grade as well as a breakdown of all your answers and their corresponding explanations as well as timing information.
At the top of the page, you will see your timing breakdown for this exam. Displayed are the total number of questions you answered and the total amount of time it took you to complete the exam. Additionally, you are provided with the average time it took you to answer each question.
Below the exam information is a breakdown of your overall performance on the exam and your performance in each subject and subtopic for the questions tested on the exam.
To the right, you will see the order, the corresponding question number, subject, and subtopic for each question given on the exam. You will also see a column that indicates whether you answered the question correctly or incorrectly.
You can view the question, answer choices, and explanations for each question by clicking on the question number in the “Question” column. The corresponding question will appear below the report. In the upper right-hand corner of the question box, you will have the opportunity to flag the question, view the corresponding subtopic video lecture for that question, and report the question to our legal team if you believe there is an error.
The questions, as well as your answers and explanations, will appear in numerical order for your scroll through. To the right of the questions is your overall accuracy percentage as well as your accuracy percentage for every subject and subtopic that you were tested on.
Incomplete Exams: If you would like to stop an exam in the middle with the intention of completing it later, simply click the Pause Exam button. This incomplete exam will be stored in Exams mode for you to resume or delete at any time.
Important Notice: While Exams mode is extremely useful when wanting to simulate the conditions of the bar exam, AdaptiBar's adaptive technology is not applied in this mode. The primary purpose of Exams mode is to maintain the distribution of questions that you would see on an actual exam. Students like to use this feature because it allows them to pinpoint particular subtopics. However, doing so will negate the innovative adaptive and timing features of AdaptiBar. We suggest spending the majority of your time in Questions mode in order to allow AdaptiBar to adjust the presentation of questions based on your strengths and weaknesses, and then closer to exam time take a few simulated exams.
FLASHCARDS
AdaptiBar's Online MBE Flashcards include over 2,000 flashcards to provide a substantive review in all seven MBE subjects to assist you in your MBE preparation. The flashcards are presented in a Question-Answer format and can be adjusted to focus on specific subtopic(s) if you choose. Every user prepares with flashcards differently, so the AdaptiBar Team has made it possible to sort and pull flashcards based on your individual preference.
Online Flashcards are included with all MBE Simulator enrollments.
- Select the subject(s) and subtopic(s) you would like to include.
- Choose whether you want the flashcards presented Randomly or In Order of the flashcard number.
- Random: Presents you flashcards at random in the areas of your choice.
- In Order: Presents your flashcards in order based on the flashcard number in AdaptiBar's database.
- The option Show me cards I've never flipped before showing me duplicates allows you to view new flashcards you have never flipped before presenting you with duplicates. It's a good idea to enable this option so you can make sure you eventually view every flashcard in the database. You may turn this feature off at any time by unchecking the box, but please know that it may cause you to see duplicate flashcards since your previous performance is not taken into consideration.
- If you would like to view cards that contain a certain keyword(s), you may type them under Show me cards containing word(s).
- Click Start to begin viewing flashcards.
Read the question presented on the front of the card, then click the Flip Card button in the bottom-right to view the answer. The system automatically tracks which flashcards you flip to the backside, but it is up to you to mark the flashcard as correct or incorrect based on how well you knew the answer given. Also, next to the flip icon, you can click to go to the Next or Previous flashcards. You may also type personal notes on the backside that will automatically be saved and displayed the next time you flip that flashcard. When the flashcards are presented, you will see the subject and subtopic displayed in the top right-hand corner of the card and the flashcard number in the top left-hand corner of the card.
To the right of the question is a box with two tabs:
- Performance
- View how many flashcards you have answered out of the total number of flashcards available. You will see this bar fill in the more flashcards your answer.
- Mark the card correct or incorrect
- Flag the card to revisit it in the future by selecting the flag icon.
- Report an Error allows you to report a flashcard to our legal experts if you feel there is an error in the content.
- Review your performance statistics for that flashcard so it is easy to keep track of your progress. This includes an overall percentage for that card, how many times you flipped the card, how many times you answered it, and how many times you marked it correct or incorrect

VIDEO LECTURES
AdaptiBar’s Video Lectures are currently available in Civil Procedure, Constitutional Law, Contracts, Criminal Law, Evidence, Real Property, and Torts. They can be purchased by the bundle (all 7 subjects), per subject (e.g. Torts), or even on the individual subtopic level (e.g. Negligence). AdaptiBar also offers a Mastering the MBE video which offers a practical, step-by-step approach to tackling the MBE. Click here for more information on purchasing video lectures.
Previously purchased video lectures will remain on your account for the access period selected at the time of purchase. Video lectures are available for 12-month access.
Once enrolled in the video lectures, access them by clicking Video Lectures in your homepage Dashboard. The menu to the left displays the introductory video, all seven subjects, and the Mastering the MBE video. Next to the names of the video lectures, you can see a progress bar and how much time you have left in the corresponding video or videos. For the 7 subjects tested on the MBE, the progress bar and amount of time left are determined by adding up your progress through each subtopic video within that subject.
Simply click on a subject to view their corresponding subtopics. The subtopics that you have purchased will be shown in darker text, and those that are unavailable will be grayed out, with the option to add them to the right of the subtopic name. You will notice two buttons next to the subtopic videos. The Play from Beginning button allows you to restart the video from the beginning if you have already begun watching it. If you click the Play button, you will be taken to the “Watch Video and Take Notes" section and can begin playing the video. If you click the play button for a video you have already started watching, you will be able to resume the video from where you left off the last time you watched that video.
Once your video begins to play, you have several viewing options. Hover over the bottom of the video for the options bar to appear:
- Click the Play/Pause button on the far left of the video to stop and start the video.
- Change the volume of the video by hovering your mouse over the sound icon and dragging the vertical bar up or down to increase or decrease the volume.
- If you would like to resume a video or just watch a particular area of law, click and drag the circle to the left or right on the horizontal bar in order to jump to a particular section of the video.
- The gear icon allows you to change the resolution and speed of the video:
- Resolution: Change the resolution of the video manually, or you can select Auto to have your browser choose the proper resolution based on your bandwidth.
- Speed: Change the speed of the video in quarter increments between .25x the speed and 2x the speed in order to accommodate for how you study.
- Select the square in the right-hand corner to enter full-screen mode.
Video Lecture Outlines
There are outlines that correspond with each of our video lectures, including Mastering the MBE. They contain the information on the note cards which appear on-screen during the videos and have space for additional notes. The outlines also include helpful charts, hypos, examples, images, and AdaptiTips for visual learners. These can be downloaded by clicking the Download Video Lecture icon to the left of the video lecture. They can be printed and filled out while watching each video lecture. Please note that this feature is reserved for users who have purchased our video lectures.
Video Notes
To the left of the video player, you will see a section labeled Add Notes. Under the Add Notes tab, you can conveniently type in any notes that you want to save while watching the video lecture. When you are finished typing a note, you may click Save or the program will autosave for you. You can access all notes regarding the subtopic you are viewing at any time under the This Video tab. The tab that says This Subject will show you all notes within the subtopics of that subject. The All Notes tab will contain all the notes you have saved for all subjects. Click Download All as PDF within any of these tabs to create a PDF version of your notes for you to view or print. Click the trash can icon to the right of each note to delete it.
PLEASE NOTE: Want to upgrade to more video lectures? Click on the Add Videos link located above the videos. This will take you to the upgrade page where you can add on more lectures.
ASSIGNMENTS
The Assignments tab only shows up in the left navigation panel on the Dashboard if this is a feature your school utilizes. When your professor assigns you an assignment, you will see a notification next to Assignments in the left navigation panel. You may also receive an email that your administrator has created a new AdaptiBar assignment with the name of the assignment, who created it, the dates it is available, the time zone, and the number of questions.
When you open the Assignments page, you will see the name of your assignment, the number of questions, the mode (Questions or Exams), the dates the assignment is available, the time limit if one was set by your professor, the status of the assignment (complete or incomplete), the score and if a report is available. Click on your assignment to begin.
All of your assignments, both complete and incomplete, will be listed on the Assignments page. Assignments that have not been completed will appear in black letters and the ones that have been completed are greyed out and have a score and a report available. The Assignments will all have their status updates as either complete or incomplete. Your professor receives the information from your assignments that have been completed and has all of the performance information.
Performance

TIMING
The Timing performance page provides you with several opportunities to analyze how efficiently you are answering MBE questions.
NOTE: Timing analyzes your performance within Questions mode only. Questions answered within Exams mode are not included.
- The Timing Performance bar graphs at the top of the page indicate your overall accuracy rate within each interval of time. Select Expand All or click the > to the left of the interval of time to view an even more specific timing breakdown.
- Performance Over Time: This line graph displays your subject performance compared to answer time. The drop-down menu above the graph allows you to view your subject performance in all seven subjects or by any individual subject.
- The green line indicates your subject performance at each answer time.
- The yellow vertical line highlights your "sweet spot", or the interval of time in which you answer with the greatest accuracy. The calculation is weighted depending on the number of questions you have answered correctly. It is important to note that the vertical yellow line may appear at a time that is not actually your highest accuracy. Your highest accuracy time may be based on many fewer answers than what your "sweet spot" actually is.
- The orange vertical line denotes the amount of time you have to answer each question (If you do not have ADA accommodations, this will default to 108 seconds [1 minute, 48 seconds]).
- Examination Timing
- Estimated Completion Time: This number projects how long it will take you to complete the MBE based your average answer time.
- Under/Over Examination Time: This time range projects how many minutes under or over the allotted amount of time it will take you to complete the exam based on your timing.
- Answer Analysis
- Average Answer Time: The average amount of time it takes you to answer one question.
- When the answer is correct: The average amount of time it takes when you answer a question correctly.
- When the answer is incorrect: The average amount of time it takes you to answer a question when it is incorrect.
- Optimal Timing
- Highest Accuracy (“sweet spot”): The interval of time in which you have the highest accuracy rate.
- Completion at Highest Rate: This time range projects how long it will take you to complete the exam at your highest accuracy rate.
- Under Examination Time: This time range projects how many minutes under or over the allotted amount of time it will take you to complete the exam based on your timing performance.
In the right panel entitled Performance Settings, you are able to edit the timeframe of your data and change the increments of time displayed.
- Performance Dates: Here you can edit the timeframe in which you would like to see your performance stats. Changing these dates will be reflected in all graphs and percentages on this page but will not change your stats on any other pages.
- Today: Selecting this will display your performance statistics for the current day only
- All Sessions: If you have used AdaptiBar for more than one bar session, you may select this to view your performance statistics for all sessions.
- Session: This will display your performance statistics for the bar session in which you are currently enrolled.
- Custom: Input a timeframe of your choice to display your performance statistics within that particular start and end date.
- Minutes Tracked: Click + to add a minute increment of time to the bar charts on the left. Click – to decrease the number of minute increments of time. You can view as few as one minute and up to the seventh minute of time in which it took you to answer the question. After the seventh minute, questions are grouped into a bar graph entitled > 7 minutes, meaning all questions that took you longer than seven minutes to answer will be charted in this section.
- Increments Per Minute: This will allow you to view a customized breakdown of each individual minute within your timing performance. Click + to view a more defined breakdown and – to display fewer increments of the minute. You can view as specifically as every six seconds or as broadly as every thirty seconds.
PLEASE NOTE: When you first start to use AdaptiBar, you may see strange statistics and feedback. AdaptiBar needs you to answer several questions before your statistics begin to normalize. When answering questions in AdaptiBar, please take them seriously, as if you were sitting for the actual exam. If you allow yourself to get overly distracted, and you take three or four minutes to answer several questions, your data will be skewed.
PAST QUESTIONS
Past Questions allows you to generate a report of questions that you previously answered. This report includes questions answered in both program modes: Questions and Exams. You have the option to filter these questions by several different criteria.
- Step 1 - Select Subjects and Subtopics: Select the area of law that you would like to view past questions from, down to a specific subtopic.
- Step 2 – Set Additional Options
- Show Questions Answered: Select whether you would like to view questions that you have answered correct or incorrect. You also have the option to view both by selecting All as well as the questions you flagged.
- Choose Date
- Today: Selecting this will display questions answered within that current day only
- All Sessions: If you have used AdaptiBar for more than one bar session, you may select this to view questions answered within all sessions.
- Session: This will display questions answered within the bar session in which you are currently enrolled.
- Custom: Input a timeframe of your choice to display questions answered within that particular start and end date.
- Sort By: You have the option to sort your previously answered questions by either date in which you answered the question or by the subject/subtopic here.
- More Options: Check the box next to Show date answered if you would like to view the date in which you answered the question.
- Search by Keyword: If you would like to view questions that contain a similar keyword or phrase, you may do so by typing it here.
- Search by Question Number: Find specific questions by searching by their question number here.
- Total Questions Selected: Here you will be able to view how many questions will be generated in the report. Please note that you may only generate a report of up to 300 questions. If the report exceeds 300 questions, try adding additional criteria.
Once you have completed filling out your filter criteria, you can view this report in two ways:
- Generate Report: Clicking this will provide you with a report within the program in the form of a list of all the questions you filtered based on the above criteria.
- View As PDF: This will generate an external report in a new tab within your browser in the form of a PDF. You will be able to download or print this report as needed. If you do not see this report, make sure that you do not have pop-ups disabled.
EXAM REPORTS
Exam Reports allow you to view your past exams and delete them from your account, if necessary. Click the exam name to open the report within your internet browser. To delete an exam, click the trash icon located on the right. Deleting an exam report will delete all of those questions and your answers from your performance statistics.
PAST PERFORMANCE
Past Performance allows you to view your subject performance statistics in stages or sets of 350 questions (150 questions for Baby Bar users). This report does not distinguish between questions answered in Practice Questions or Practice Exams modes. The Past Performance Table is a great tool for reviewing your performance throughout your program session and gauging how well you are preparing.
The Past Performance Table details the start and end date of each stage, along with the number of questions (e.g. 1 - 350). As you answer more questions, more stages will appear. After you've answered enough questions to complete 5 or more stages, scroll to the right to view your most recent performance. You can click on the individual subjects to view your performance per subtopic. Increases in your accuracy rates from the previous stage will be displayed in green and decreases in your accuracy rates from the previous stage will be displayed in red. This table clearly details your performance and allows you to diagnose your strengths and weaknesses per stage. Check this table after you complete each stage to identify the subtopics you need to review in your outlines. The idea here is to constantly use the licensed MBE questions in AdaptiBar to diagnose your weaknesses and determine which areas you should be studying in your outlines. You should see fewer and fewer subtopics that you need to study after each stage. If your accuracy rates are red, we strongly encourage you to review those areas in your outlines again.
QUESTION PROGRESS
The Question Progress chart allows you to track how many questions in the database you have answered and how many questions you have left. Questions answered in both program modes (Practice Questions and Practice Exams) are included in this chart. Next to each subject you will see the number of questions you have answered so far out of the total number of questions available in the database. To view the number of questions per subtopic, select Expand All or > next to the specific subject you would like to expand.
PLEASE NOTE: You will not be cut off after you answer all the available questions in the database once, as you have unlimited access to AdaptiBar's database of licensed MBE questions from the NCBE during your session access period. You can answer the questions as many times as you would like. The purpose of this chart is to track how many "new" questions (that you have not seen yet) are left in the database. For those of you who are determined to answer every question in the database at least once, you'll find this chart helpful.
PLEASE NOTE: If you have not completed every question, but have started seeing repeat questions in Questions mode, please check to see if "Exclude MBE Study Aid Questions" and "Exclude MBE Complete Practice Exams" have been checked. If they have, those questions are being reserved for you until you sit down to take those four 100-question exams. Please either uncheck the boxes before continuing in Questions mode or take one of the NCBE Practice Exams.
Message Center
AdaptiBar’s Message Center is an interactive feature that guides you through the process of preparing for the MBE. As you study, AdaptiBar will assess your performance and provide you with progressive feedback and advice on what step to take next. There has never been a smarter way to study!
AdaptiBar will send you messages to ensure you are preparing effectively and efficiently for the MBE. You will be reminded if you have an incomplete exam or if you are neglecting various features of the program, which will help you make better-informed decisions on what action to take next. Each message is sent according to your personal account and performance.
When you have a new message, a preview of the message pops up at the top right corner of your screen. To go to the Message Center and read your messages, click the message preview or the Messages Center tab in the left options panel.
After you read the message, you can move it to the "Archive" folder by selecting the message and clicking on the Archive button.
