AdaptiBar's database consists of about 1,600 questions. Most of these questions are real, licensed MBE questions used on past bar exams and then released by the NCBE. The remaining questions have been written by our in-house legal team to accommodate for minimal questions being released by the NCBE in a particular subject or subtopic:
Civil Procedure: Since this is a relatively new subject, the NCBE has not released a large enough number of questions to ensure that our users are able to develop a well-rounded understanding of each area of law covered within Civil Procedure. That is why there are 197 simulated questions within this subject.
Real Property: Beginning with the February 2017 bar, four new topics were added to Real Property that affected three out of the five subtopics (Ownership of Real Property, Rights in Real Property, and Titles):
The new topics added include: (1) conflicts of law (I.D.4.); (2) property owners’ associations and common interest ownership communities (II.A.6.); (3) drafting, review, and negotiation of closing documents (V.B.3.); and (4) persons authorized to execute real estate documents (V.B.4.).
In order to accommodate for these changes to the subject, our in-house legal team wrote 15 new questions addressing these new topics.
As you answer questions within Civil Procedure and Real Property, you will be able to see if a question is simulated or not by enabling Question Number and Subject within Practice Questions. If the question is simulated, you will see it marked as such next to the subject/subtopic in the upper right hand corner:
If you would prefer to not see whether a question is simulated or not, you are able to deselect this option in Preferences before you begin answering questions.
